Built for the business between a spreadsheet and an ERP
Most South African companies start stock control in a spreadsheet, or in the stock module of their accounting package. That works until you have a second branch, a second sales channel, or a product that you make from parts. Then the spreadsheet is always a day behind, and the stock count on the website does not match the shelf.
The usual next step is an ERP, with a reseller, a licence for each module, and an implementation that takes months. Miridia is the step between the two. It gives you stock, purchasing, production, and planning in one system that goes live in weeks, and it connects to the accounting package that you already use.

Purchase orders and receipts
Raise purchase orders from reorder signals, receive the goods against the order, and see which suppliers deliver late. Approval limits and budgets keep spending under control.
Transfers between branches
Move stock from the warehouse to a store, or between two branches, with a transfer order that shows the stock in transit until it arrives.
Bills of material and work orders
Define a recipe with scrap factors, run a work order, and Miridia takes the components out of stock and puts the finished goods in. The cost of goods uses the weighted average cost.
Costing and a full audit record
Choose weighted average or FIFO costing. Every stock movement records the running balance and links to its purchase order, sale, transfer, work order, or adjustment.
Lots, batches, and serial numbers
Track each batch with a lot number and an expiry date, and see every movement of the lot. Serial numbers link each unit that you make to its lot, its work order, and its shipment.
Stock takes and cycle counts
Count one area at a time, record the variance, and adjust with a note. Miridia records the date of the last stock take for each item.

Miridia Planner
Plan for South African conditions
A fixed reorder point assumes that your supplier always delivers in the same time. When imported stock waits at the port for two extra weeks, that assumption fails, and you run out in the middle of your busiest month. Miridia Planner calculates safety stock from the demand during the lead time, and it recalculates the reorder points when the forecast changes.
Planner also learns the seasons from your own order history, SKU by SKU. A southern-hemisphere business peaks in December, and a model that was tuned on northern-hemisphere data does not know this. Each forecast model must beat a simple seasonal benchmark on your data before Planner uses it. Planner is priced separately from the Starter plan.

The Starter plan is R3,000 a month, and yearly billing saves 10%. It includes orders, inventory, purchasing, bills of material, work orders, integrations, workflows, the full API, and the Ask Your Data chat, for up to 2,500 orders a month, 3 active integrations, and 10 team members.
Miridia Planner, AI Autopilot, the data warehouse pipeline, and the cold-chain workflows are advanced modules, priced separately on either plan. The Enterprise plan has a custom price, with unlimited orders and users and a self-hosted option.
When Miridia is not the right choice
We prefer that you learn this now, and not in the third month.
- You need warehouse management at bin level, with directed picking. A location in Miridia is a site.
- You want one product for stock, the general ledger, and payroll. Miridia connects to your accounting package. It does not replace it.
