What replaces Stocky?
Shopify recommends its built-in inventory features in place of Stocky, and for one store with simple stock they are enough.
Choose Miridia if you buy from several suppliers, hold stock at more than one location, sell on channels other than Shopify, or make any of your products.
Miridia connects to Shopify and Shopify POS, and the Starter plan is R3,000 or €150 a month.
What Stocky did well
Stocky was the inventory app that Shopify gave to merchants on Shopify POS Pro. Shopify removed it from the App Store and stopped it after 31 August 2026. For many merchants it was the first purchase order tool that they used.

Purchase orders that draft themselves
Miridia can draft purchase orders from your reorder points, your safety stock, and the forecast, grouped by supplier. Each goods received note posts the stock and updates the average cost.
A real demand forecast
Miridia Planner forecasts each SKU from its own history, learns your seasonal peaks, and suggests order quantities rounded to the minimum order of each supplier. Planner is priced separately.
Production
If you make any of your products, bills of material and work orders take the components out of stock and put the finished goods in. Stocky had no production.
The full cost of your stock
Add shipping, duties, and insurance lines to a purchase order, so the value of your stock includes what it cost to land.
Your accounting package
Miridia is not an accounting system. It syncs products, customers, and invoices with the one in your stack, such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Cloud, Zoho Books, or others.
When the built-in Shopify inventory is enough
The built-in Shopify inventory is part of your Shopify plan. It is the better choice in these cases.
- You have one store or one location, and you buy from a small number of suppliers.
- You sell only on Shopify, and you do not make any of your products.
- You do not want a second subscription next to Shopify.
If this is your business, stay with Shopify. Come back when a second location, a second channel, or your first product recipe makes the stock hard to follow.

How to move from Stocky
Stocky no longer runs, but your products, stock levels, and orders are in Shopify. They do not depend on Stocky.

Keep what you have
Keep any exports or reports that you took from Stocky, such as purchase orders and supplier lists. Shopify warns that Stocky data may not come back after the app is removed.

Connect Shopify
Miridia syncs your products, orders, and customers from Shopify, with shipment and fulfilment tracking. Your order history becomes the base of your first forecast.

Add suppliers and reorder rules
Add your suppliers and their costs, then set a reorder point, a reorder quantity, and safety stock for each product at each location.

Let Miridia draft the order from the reorder rules, check it, and send it. When the goods arrive, receive them against the order.

Is Stocky still available?
No. Shopify removed Stocky from the App Store, and it stopped working after 31 August 2026.
What does Shopify recommend in place of Stocky?
Shopify recommends the inventory features that are built into Shopify. For one store with simple stock, they are enough. For more locations, more channels, or production, a separate inventory system such as Miridia is the next step.
Does Miridia work with Shopify POS?

Does Miridia forecast demand like the Stocky reports?
