The short answer
Choose Katana if the shop floor is your main problem, and your team works from a shop floor app.
Choose Miridia if purchasing, stock across several locations, and demand planning matter as much as production.
Katana Core starts at US$299 a month with one location. The Miridia Starter plan is R3,000 or €150 a month.
Katana is built for a manufacturer, so its production functions are the strongest in the inventory category.
Miridia is equal to Katana for bills of materials, work orders, purchase orders, batch and serial tracking, and sync with your store and accounting package. These are the places where it goes further.
Miridia Planner forecasts each SKU, runs consensus cycles and scenarios, and drives MRP and your purchase plan from the forecast. Planner is priced separately.
The BOM cost uses the price history of each component at the date that you select, with pack sizes and units handled. Revisions carry effective dates and scrap factors.
Approval thresholds, budgets, and landed cost lines for shipping and duties. Supplier lead time, on-time delivery, and fill rate come from your own purchase order history.
Each location has its own reorder points and safety stock, and transfer orders show the stock in transit. Katana Core includes one location and charges for more.
A master business shares its catalogue, suppliers, prices, and bills of materials with its sub-businesses, and write guards protect the shared data.
Every plan includes the full REST API. The Enterprise plan adds a self-hosted option, and AI Autopilot can watch orders, deliveries, and stock for you.
Katana is the better choice in these cases.
If one of these is true for you, tell us on the first call. We prefer that you learn it now, and not in the third month.
Katana prices its Core plan and sells its deeper functions as add-ons. We show Katana in US dollars, the currency that Katana uses.
